The body of this flute is from the Northwest. The wider bands are Madrone Burl, also from the Northwest. The smaller bands, bird and mouthpiece are Purple Heart from South America. This grain is just luxurious. I'm in love with it. This flute has a little more "heft" than one might expect, but nothing outrageous. It just feels good in your hands. The tone is big and rich.
