Em Ambrosia Tiger Maple Flute

One of my more popular woods, Tiger Maple. This one has some Ambrosia action going on. The name comes from the Ambrosia Beetle, that bores into the wood, leaving a fungus behind that discolors the wood. It is a feature than many find desirable as it leaves random patterns in the grain. The bug holes have been filled with crushed turquoise from the mine in Morenci, AZ.

A note to anyone considering this flute, it's kind of long and the stretch to the last holes can be a challenge. The flute is not for small or stiff hands. The Key of E is a favorite among guitar players, but be advised, I get Em flutes back on a fairly regular basis because the stretch is too much for some. Of course, I have a "No Questions Asked" return policy, but shipping is not refundable. Be sure you check out the measurements below to see if this instrument is practical for you. Listen to the sound files, below, to hear this flute. Thank you for looking.
