Inlaid Top and Crushed Turquoise Fills
Inlaid F#m Birds Eye Redwood Inlaid Flute
Redwood, which grows mostly in Northern California is quite plentiful in that area. However, the burls are not so common. This is part of a huge burl that I was fortunate enough to acquire many years ago. The figure and color are awesome and this flute has a nice, full voice. The naturally occurring voids in this piece have been filled with crushed Turquoise from the Morenci Mine in Arizona. I've placed a wooden inlay down the top and inlaid round Turquoise cabs in the top, as well. This piece really stands out in the light. Listen to the sound files, below, to hear this flute. Thank you for looking.
