This bird will fit almost any Native American style flute of an "average" size. I have it mounted on my Gm Red Mallee Burl flute which is around 22" long. It will fit almost any Native American style flute if the flue is cut into the flute itself. This block will not work for a flute if the flue (air passage) is cut into the bottom of the block. If you're curious, take your bird off of your flute. If the bottom side of your bird is flat, this Eagle should work for you.
You may be asking yourself, "Is this Eagle molded from plastic?" I know, it looks fake. I guarantee you that this piece of art is REAL. It is carved from ancient bone (Ivory) by a true artisan. It is a one of a kind piece. You will never see this piece again. Yes, there are machines that can do work that is similar to this, but believe me, this Eagle was made by hand, carved by a true artist who does this kind of work for a living. No machine can do this kind of work.
This Eagle's head and tail are carved from a lighter colored Ivory and the body and wings are carved from a separate piece of a darker brown Ivory. The Ivory is stained by natural mineral absorption as it lay in the ground in Alaska for the last 10,000 years or so. The bird is mounted with a small nail on the base and epoxied to the Cedar block. (You'll never see this nail.) The block is around 2 3/16" long with a 7/16" wide chimney. It is slightly less than 3/4" wide. If you have any questions about whether this totem will fit your flute, please ask. My e-mail is crowflutes@aol.com and my phone number is 520-322-9811.
The Natural Color of this Eagle is the BROWN color that you see in these photos, not the dark gray. The flute pictured is not included. You can find out about how to obtain the Red Mallee Burl flute by clicking here.
