E-minor Redwood Birds Eye Burl Flute With End Caps & Inlays
The body of this flute is Birds Eye Redwood Burl, the spacers are Walnut and the center pieces of the end caps are Curly Mango from the Big Island. The bird is my Cedar Eagle. The top in inlaid marquetry with round Turquoise cabochons. This wood has many forms of iridescence when held in the sunlight. I'm playing a flute similar to this in the photo of me playing at the Grand Canyon. (That one's MY flute.)
This flute has a nice, deep, rich tone and plenty of volume. (Not for small hands-See measurements, below.)
