F#-minor Amboyna Burl
One of the rarest woods in the world. Amboyna Burl comes from the island of Amboyna as well as Borneo and some other South East Asian countries. It was very popular for furniture making in the early 1800's. The sources were nearly exhausted. I've been told that it is used in the dash boards of Rolls Royces. I'm getting mine from a source in Indonesia.
This wood is not only beautiful, but makes a great flute. The accents are Walnut (the dark bands) and Buckeye Burl (the light bands). This instrument will be treasured for generations.
